If you ever asked me who is my favourite writer?
My answer would be Charles R. Swindoll. I always love how he elaborate and write about the different characters in the Bible. How he poured out his life to study the characters until he got the insight of them.
One of the book that I might recommend for you to read will be Job. It’s quite thick for someone like me who don’t really enjoy reading a lengthy story. However, as I open page upon page, it just drawn me to open the next, and the next, and the next page. And without knowing it, I was immersed into the book. And the story.
A lot of us know who was Job, what has happened into his life, and what happened in the end. How his life was turned upside down. From a very wealthy man with 7000 head of sheep, 3000 camels, 500 teams of oxen, 500 donkeys, and a huge staff of servants – blessed with 7 handsome sons and 3 beautiful daughters, an honorable and reputable man, and the bible even said that he is the most influential man in all the East , to a sick-disgusted-without-nothing-left-man, except his ungrateful wife and unsupported friends.
He lost his wealth, one after another only in one day, together with all his sons and daughters.
And not enough, he also got ulcers and scabs from head to foot.
But, throughout 42 chapters, we can learn how he endure during the hardest time of his life. This book has blessed me so much. I hope it can be a blessing for you also.
