I saw this quote hanged on the wall-divider in one of the hotel in Luang Prabang. I love the quote so much. It is written that they quoted it from Mahatma Gandhi in one of his speech in Africa.
So I was doing my google searching , not because I am curios about the speech, but simply because I want to copy paste instead of re-write the long quotes
What I found then is beyond my imagination. The quote was actually quoted from Kenneth B. Elliott. And I just found out that there are some quotes are Misattributed to Mahatma Gandhi.
By posting this, doesn’t mean that I want to tarnish or diminish Mahatma Gandhi’s name and wisdom. It’s just another revelation I have today. ^^
“A customer is the most important visitor on our premises. He is not dependent on us. We are dependent on him. He is not an interruption in our work. He is the purpose of it. He is not an outsider in our business. He is part of it. We are not doing him a favor by serving him. He is doing us a favor by giving us an opportunity to do so.”
